We're thrilled to extend an invitation to you to come and share your expertise by leading a workshop at Dublin Fibre Festival. Your knowledge and passion for your craft would make a fantastic addition to our event. We believe that your workshop will inspire and educate our attendees, adding to the diverse array of offerings at the festival.


We're currently in the process of curating our workshop schedule, and we would be honored to include your unique workshop as part of our lineup. Your presence will help create an engaging and enriching experience for all participants.

Eligible categories:

  • Teaching fibre-related techniques, crafts, products, technology, software, small businesses, and entrepreneurship subjects, and similar.

  • Talking about a technique, craft, product, history, culture, technology, small businesses, entrepreneurship or anything related to fibre industry and craft and having a small business in fibre industry.


Notes:

  • Every instructor will get 1 extra entrance ticket to the festival.

  • Every instructor will get free refreshments and lunch.

  • This is a paid position. Our instructors’ payment fees will be calculated based on a fixed formula.

To apply:

To apply you need to send your proposal by email to us.

We will review your proposal and let you know about the possible collaboration and further steps.

Your proposal should be in PDF format and sent to: dublinfibrefestival@gmail.com

The proposal should include the following information:

  • Subject, name of the workshop, name of the instructor.

  • Short bio of the instructor. Please be specific about your activities and expertise.

  • Please describe what you are going to instruct and what the attendee will learn in your class.

  • Duration of your workshop. The options are: 1, 2, or 3 hours.

  • The equipment you need, such as whiteboard, projector, laptop, etc.

  • Other details, such as the maximum number of attendees, will be determined by us based on the hired room.

  • If you have a specific format for the seating, you can mention that too.

  • You can make changes and modify your workshop details later if you wish. The requested information above helps us to curate and coordinate the workshops together.

Deadline for applications:

We don’t have a deadline for applications. The time window for the first cycle of applications is until the end of April. From the beginning of May, we start to contact people whose workshops are confirmed. However, you can still file your application to be on our waitlist.

We will keep all the applications for our records, and in case of cancellations, we might contact the applicants who were not confirmed in the first cycle.
