About this workshop
During this 1 hour workshop participants will be introduced to the very addictive craft of weaving by making a bookmark. This is a nice introduction for those that have never done this before and of course the added bonus of a finished product to take home.
This is a great workshop for all those yarn addicts that have short bits left over which they can’t knit or crochet with anymore, but would like to use them for something fun. Kids up to ten might like an adult to give them a hand, but the workshop is suitable for all ages as we love seeing the younger generation learning all the crafts!
Your weaving kit will include the special Olannmor loom, weaving comb, warp thread, tapestry needle, weaving for beginners booklet. And of course a lovely natural yarn bundle that’ll make multiple bookmarks!
We sell weaving kits on the day of the festival that include a loom (we have four options to choose from), lovely yarn bundles, warp thread, full beginner friendly instructions and all other essentials. Kits start at €29.

Anouk O’Connell
In 2017 I, Anouk O'Connell, teamed up with a good friend to introduce beautiful chunky knit Merino roving products to the Irish market. Since then Olannmor has also entered the world of weaving and has added many different materials to add to the fun.
Living in the Wicklow Mountains makes scenery my biggest inspiration. One of my main priorities is to only craft with natural materials so that I can look after our planet whilst creating beautiful products.
